Login Timeout is a misfeature built into some user interfaces which causes the login status to become reset as the user is entering their username and password, causing their typing to become lost.

This causes a problem for accessibility users with low literacy skills that cannot type their username name and password within the few seconds timeframe allocated for the login.

Microsoft Windows[]

This problem has been observed on recent implementations of Microsoft Windows XP.
